Linebet in Bangladesh: a Player's Guide

Who is behind Linebet

The footer line on both linebet.com/en/ and the Bengali /bn/ version names the same operator: ASPRO N.V., a company registered in Curaçao. The regulator named there is the Curaçao Gaming Control Board. What is not printed anywhere on that line is a licence number, and without it you cannot look the permission up yourself. That is normal for this corner of the market and still worth knowing before you deposit.

You will read on affiliate pages that Linebet also holds a local Bangladeshi licence. Ignore that. There is no authority in Bangladesh that issues gambling licences, so the claim has nothing behind it. The platform's own About us section says more than 400,000 people have registered accounts.

What Bangladesh law says about betting

The law in force is the Public Gambling Act 1867, ACT NO. II of 1867, dated 10 April 1867. Section 1A defines gaming to include wagering and betting, with an exception for betting on horse races that applies only under three conditions, and it leaves lotteries out of the definition.

The penalties are small and they sit on places rather than on the internet. Keeping a gaming house carries a fine up to 200 taka or imprisonment up to three months under section 3. Being present in one carries a fine up to 100 taka or up to one month under section 4. Section 11A takes games of mere skill out of the Act entirely, wherever they are played.

The Act is from 1867 and says nothing about a phone in your hand. We are not going to tell you what that means for you personally. The full text sits on the Bangladesh Ministry of Law laws portal and it is short enough to read in one sitting.

Bonuses, and the currency trap

Here is the thing that catches Bangladeshi players out. Open the English version of the site from a Bangladesh connection and the first deposit offer reads 100% up to 100 EUR. Switch to the Bengali version and the same offer reads 100% on your first deposit up to 10,000 BDT. The taka figure is the one we treat as yours, because that is the page in your language quoting your currency, but do not be surprised by the euro number when you land on the English side.

Two more promotions are written on the Bengali pages: 15% cashback credited to the bonus account, and a Monday offer of up to 10,000 taka every Monday. Wagering conditions for any of them are not published where we looked, which means the terms attached to the money are the one thing you cannot check before you deposit. Read them on the promotions page inside your account, and read them again later, because these numbers move.

The line: cricket first, then everything else

About us claims more than 1000 events a day and more than 30 markets on a live event, including corners, cards and free kicks. On the 14 August snapshot the cricket section had Australia against Bangladesh, The Hundred 2026, and a spread of Indian and Asian leagues, which is roughly what you want if your betting year is built around the national side and the T20 calendar.

The rest of the list is wide: football, tennis, basketball, volleyball, hockey, golf, boxing, handball, American football, baseball, table tennis, biathlon, cricket, snooker, Formula 1, cycling and others. In practice the depth you feel is on football and cricket. Those corner and card markets are the reason people sit on the live page during a match instead of betting the result before the first ball.

Bet types you can actually use

Singles and accumulators are called single and express here. Beyond those you get lucky, chain, patent, multibet, conditional, anti-express and system, plus two pool games, TOTO-15 and TOTO Correct Score. Chain and anti-express confuse people the most: a chain runs your selections one after another with the stake carried forward, and an anti-express pays when your legs lose rather than win. If you have never used them, put a small amount through one and watch how the slip behaves before you commit properly.

Deposits and withdrawals: what is not published

This is the weakest part of the site for a Bangladeshi player, and the table below is deliberately mostly empty: that emptiness is the finding.

The one rule that is stated matters more than it looks. The wallet or card you fund with is the one you will be withdrawing to, which is worth a thought before your first top up if you were planning to use somebody else's number.

Getting the app on your phone

There is no Linebet app on Google Play. Android users download an APK from the official site and allow installation from unknown sources in the phone settings, the same step you already know from other bookmaker apps. iPhone is done through TestFlight.

If the site does not open

Worth flagging from our own testing rather than from anything the operator says. From the address we tested, linebet.com answered with a 302 redirect to /en/block, meaning that connection was treated as a closed country. From a Bangladeshi connection it loaded normally. If you hit a block page, that is what you are looking at, not a broken account. We mention it because players assume the worst when a betting site refuses to load.
